INBO’s World General Assembly brings together every three years stakeholders from all over the world interested in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) at basin level: national public administrations, basin organisations (national and transboundary), international financial institutions, United Nations agencies, technical institutions or regional commissions.

The plenary sessions, workshops and other working meetings cover a wide range of topics (governance, planning, financing, adapting to climate change, biodiversity, transboundary cooperation, etc.) as well as news specific to the geographical area in which each edition takes place.

It is not only a time for exchanging experience and knowledge, which is much appreciated, but also an important stage in the participation of Members in the network’s bodies, with a statutory session dedicated to the adoption of INBO’s multi-annual action plan.
