These Handbooks are made up of in-depth articles illustrated by case studies based on practical experience and know-how from countries and basins around the world.

They cover a wide range of strategic, operational, legal and technical issues facing the water community, such as ‘Water policing’, ‘Water information systems’ and ‘Civil society participation in river basins’.

In this way, public and government authorities, non-governmental organisations, experts in the field, basin organisations, scientists, water-related project developers and funders can find solutions to the challenges they face.
