Comprising around 90,000 people working in basin organisations already established in Brazil, REBOB’s main objective is to integrate all the successful actions and solutions for water in the national territory, maintaining an interface with other international experiences of good practice for water and participative management of water resources.

Since its creation, REBOB has been developing services and activities in the field of water resource management in Brazil and in cross-border regions, mainly through partnerships and cooperation agreements, the promotion of training and participation in programmes and projects that effectively promote the improvement of surface water and groundwater, enabling the broad integration of society in this process.

Currently, REBOB, through its president, holds the position of honorary governor of the World Water Council and the permanent technical secretariat of RELOB (Latin American Network of Basin Organisations).
