The EECCA NWO secretariat is provided by the Scientific Information Centre of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination in Central Asia (SIC ICWC) based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The aim of the network is to promote the integrated management of water resources and to create the conditions for the rational use of water and land. The objectives of the network are to exchange ideas, experience and information with a view to revitalising the scientific and practical capacities for water management in the region of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

EECCA NWO disseminates information through members’ collections of scientific papers, weekly newsletters and the network’s website (www.eecca-water.net), promotes exchanges through conferences and annual meetings, and offers expertise through the new expert platform on water security, sustainable development and prospective studies, managed by the secretariat.
